High on Life
Hello!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so high right now- lol. Jk. Kind of. I just watched "Phantom of the Opera" for the fourth time in two weeks. I looooooooove it. It makes me breathe better. Like "El Tango Roxanne", except for two hours longer and then some. But it got me thinking, maybe the reason I'm not under the illusion that I need to get drunk and high all the time, is cuz, as a dancer and singer, I get a totally different high on a totally different substance. Called Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lol. Jk. Kind of. Again. But honestly, I don't care if its cliche, or if everyone likes it, his music is just soooo absolutely intoxicating. Especially when Gerard Butler is singing it. I have a new celebrity crush to add to the list, by the way. He was in "Dear Frankie", and that was a very very wonderful and heartwarming movie with lovely Scottish or Irish accents. (I can never tell the difference until I hear them together.) But yes, back to the subject- every time I hear "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" I want to cry my eyes out, and tend to, or at least tear up, regardless of where I am. At home, or work, or worst of all- Downtown Disney. That was horrible- I could hardly sing. Actually, I couldn't. But my uncle died a couple days before that, so I had an excuse. And yaaaaay for the fun ones like "Masquerade" and "Prima Donna"! It makes me sooooo happy. I really want to do musical theatre, now, or at least am realizing thats the sort of performing I've always wanted to do, and I might try and find someone I could take voice lessons from this year. Ok, but yes, I just wanted to post my "Ode to Andrew Lloyd", and I have to go to a doctor's appointment early tomorrow morning. Love you, muah!
